SOCAL.COM REVIEW OF THE EVENT

Thursday JULY 21st was a very special evening featuring creative expression from artists with cancer, cancer survivors and those closely affected by the epidemic.

WHO: Fashion Model and Ovarian Cancer Survivor Sharon Blynn (baldisbeautiful.org) appeared and performed. Comic illustrator and testicular Cancer survivor Leonard M. Cachola (inniesandoutties.com) presented work from the strip ‘Zombie Cancer’. Steve Bartel joined the lineup. Graduates from THE POWER OF PLAY jumped up and offered songs and poems.
Chris Hixon from Baboon Torture pulled an Evil Knieval with numerous carcinogens! Cancer Girl (aka Sara Cody - thyroid cancer survivor) continued her exploration into medical jargon. Breast cancer survivor, Author-Poet and breast cancer survivor Anne Silver read poems(annesilver.com).
