Steve Allen Head on YiddIRISH Night

Multiculturalism went a new level for St. Patrick’s Day with Cabaret Voltaire, as we presented “YiddIRish Night.” (As in, Yiddish+Irish = YiddIRish. Get it?)

L.A. pop artist Andre Miripolsky hosted an evening of performances of Irish classics interpreted through Yiddish and Hebrew. Hollywood Klezmer, Fiddler Claire Bergen, comedian and musician David Zasloff, singer Tami Bahat and Irishman Tuba Heatherton all got in on the fun, as does Sara Cody, offered spoken word excerpts from “Ulysses.” Meanwhile, also Southland Step Dancing Champion Megan Kirk and singer Janet Klein with Brad Kay.
